AUSA 2021 – The EOTech Vudu 1-10×28 Variable Power Optic
EOTech displayed their upcoming Vudu 1-10×28 Low Power Variable Optic this weekend at AUSA 2021. Soldier Systems previously covered this optic at DESi 21 in London.
The optic features a 34mm scope body which was mounted in a 1.70″ Badger Ordnance Modular Mount. The left side “turret” houses the single CR2032 which powers the scope illumination and has exterior, rubber covered, power and brightness controls on it’s edge.
The Vudu 1-10×28 right side, windage, turret is fully covered by a screw top turret cover to prevent accidental adjustment. The magnification ring retains the screw-in throw lever that’s common to the previous Vudu 1-6×24 and Vudu 1-8×24 LPVOs.
In contrast to the right side scope turret, the elevation turret isn’t covered, but instead uses a push-pull locking method of maintaining zero.
Being a First Focal Plane optic, the reticle increases in perceived size with an increase of the magnification factor. Three reticle options are expected, two being MRAD based, and another MOA based. The unit on display featured a bright, hashmarked, circle dot design on 1x and a ‘T’ shaped, MRAD reticle with elevation stadia and a secondary bright circle dot.
EOTech expects commercial release sometime towards the left end of the first quarter of 2022.
